Year of the Dragon (Plates)

This is the Year of the Dragon. And today’s post contains no recipes or reviews of food. Just beautiful place settings.

Sometimes the look of the food is just as important as the taste and smell of the food. Today I have made an Korean and Chinese inspired feast.

These are the dragon plates my mother bought me several years ago. They’re not for every day use, but it’s fun to get them out every so often when we sit down to an authentic Chinese meal.

I have the little dipping bowls filled will all sorts of good sauces both hot and sweet.

Here my favorite red bowl is filled with spicy Korean kimchee.

The main course is mini Korean dumplings served on a bed of crispy lettuce. Quick to make and even easier to eat.

But the best part I think is how beautiful the table looked.
