Chicken Restaurant Review

“Epic Wings?” Yes, They Were!!!

Friday nights sometimes are hard to come up with something for dinner. Sometimes it’s dinner out. Sometimes it’s a regular cooked meal. But this Friday, I wanted to try the Epic Wings that opened close to our house.

Now, I love wings. But they have to be saucy and spicy.  I have a saying when it comes to ordering spicy food “If I am not crying, I am not buying.”  For this first order from Epic Wings, I got the extra hot and the “atomic reaper.”  I did pick up.  After reading that some people complained that their order wasn’t ready when promised, I sat in my car until the time arrived. When I got into the store, I was surprised to see seating. I was expecting it to be a pick-up location only (bonus points). And my order was ready there on the counter. Bonus points again! I can’t begin to describe the delicious aromas filling my car on the way home. I couldn’t wait to open the package and devour the wings.

So, how were they? All I am going to say is yes, I was crying. But they were not overly hot for me to the point that they weren’t edible or enjoyable. They were perfect. I did like the atomic reaper a little more than the extra hot. But epic wings they were. I will definitely be going back. I may even try their delivery service depending on the cost.

Pros:

  • Good size wings.
  • Well cooked.
  • Seasoned perfectly.
  • Just hot enough to make me cry.

Cons:

  • I couldn’t find a way to order 12 or 24  and get different sauces. At least I didn’t see a way to do that online. Price per wing at 6 or 12 was the same. But when you went up to 24, it got slightly cheaper.
  • No “extras” with the a la cart wings like dressing or vegetables. I had my own, so not a big deal.
  • Mobile App doesn’t tell you when your order
